Installation

Three steps and you are in.

Since the app does not come from Google Play, Android asks for one extra confirmation the first time. It is a standard prompt: the file is signed by PannGo and only downloaded from this page.

1 · Download the file

Tap “Download the app”. Your phone will save PannGo.apk to your downloads folder.

2 · Allow the install

When you open the file, Android asks whether you trust the source. Allow installs from your browser — it is the normal prompt for apps outside Play.

3 · Open PannGo

Done: the app shows up on your home screen and opens full screen, like any other app.

About the app

Is it safe to install outside Google Play?

Yes. We publish the file ourselves on panngo.com and it is digitally signed by PannGo: Android verifies that signature before installing anything. Just make sure you always download it from this page, never from links forwarded from other sources.

Why does my phone show a warning when installing?

That is Android’s standard prompt for any app that does not come from a store. Allowing the install for this download is all it takes; nothing else changes on your phone.

Does it update itself?

The content does: the app always shows the latest version of PannGo, just like the website, with nothing for you to do. What does not update on its own is the app itself, and that changes only rarely; when it does we will announce it and you just download it again from this page and install it over the previous one, keeping your session.

What if I have an iPhone?

For now the app is Android-only. On iPhone you can use panngo.com in Safari and add it to your home screen — it works just as well.
